US soul sensation Leon Bridges is releasing his new album, Coming Home, this week (on Friday, 19 June) on the Hallux label. The singer’s stage presence and soulful tunes are garnering comparisons with the great Sam Cooke; despite the fact Bridges is still only 25. You can judge for yourself come Friday. In the meantime, check out the single “Smooth Sailin'” below.

WAM song of the year nominee Lilt are back with the next taste of their silky yet penetrative electronica. The Perth act released ‘Take’ to instant accolades back in 2013, and today release a video to accompany the layered and proven-to-be-timeless track. Filmed at emerging Perth venue, Jimmy’s Den and featuring footage of their breathtaking live performance, the video showcases their development into a softly emotional and mature live show, honed from support slots for the likes of Flume, Austra and Snakadaktal. Fronted by songstress Louise Penman, Lilt feature pure, biting vocals and powerful, intimate melodies combined with Matt Mclean’s textural synthetic production at the core of their electronic soul. With a brand new live show featuring drummer Dan Firkin and guitarist/synth support from Chris Honey, Lilt’s live set cross boundaries from stark and minimal electronica to pounding full spectrum, high intensity alt pop; whilst retaining Lilt’s trademark forward thinking textures, compelling arrangements, and engaging, crystalline vocals.
