You will hear this growth immediately on the opening track “Morning In America” when its powerful message hits you square in the chin as Jones sings “It’s morning in America; But I can’t see the dawn.” All of this of course is delivered with a perfect foot tapping beat. This smooth soul continues throughout American Love Call.
The not so hidden strength of American Love Call is the falsetto voice of drummer Aaron Frazer. He sings lead on six of the album’s tracks and brings a diversity that keeps this record rollin’ like the summer breeze that is coming our way soon. American Love Call only gets better with repeat listens and its timeless components will carry well beyond 2019. Time to sign up because Durand Jones & The Indications are on their way up!

The Fire Note started to create a simple place that could showcase records that we liked. Nothing more, nothing less. The focus has always been about the album and the experience that a great record creates. The Fire Note Webzine builds on this idea by offering an array of content that is all about the enjoyment of music, its pulse and energizing attitude.
