The real(ist) thing

Diverse Sydney five-piece Erratic have just unleashed Realist – the follow up to Oscillate and Escalar.

Recorded in Melbourne by Reggie Bowman (Pre Shrunk) and mastered in New York, the album is a hard one to pigeonhole with a sound that has elements of dance, funk, rock and hip hop. Tracks vary from instrumental club numbers such as ‘Jellyfish’ to the smooth and sultry sounds of vocalist Katy Mac evident on tracks such as ‘Itch’ which add a whole new element to Erratic’s sound.

The mish-mash of styles featured on Realist works to the group’s benefit and ensures a highly enjoyable listen.
